Real backdrops

A whole farmstay for a film set

Mế Studio builds no fake backdrops — the set is Mế itself: hundred-year yin-yang roofs, the turquoise stream, timber stilt houses, gardens in every season. Photos taken here carry light and depth no city studio can copy.

Traditional Tày and Nùng costumes come in all sizes — from toddlers to grandparents — with silver necklaces and headscarves true to the old style.
